We aim to provide a well-managed facility for the study of the flora and fauna of Buffelskloof Nature Reserve and the surrounding regions, and to stimulate and encourage the study of biological sciences among tertiary students and secondary scholars.
About Buffelskloof Nature Reserve
The Buffelskloof Field Station is located within Buffelskloof Private Nature Reserve which is situated on the northern Drakensberg escarpment in the summer-rainfall region of north-eastern South Africa. The Reserve and the Field Station are open only to approved researchers, students and citizen science groups.
